About
Get to Know Me
I’m a proud Afro-Filipina, wife, and homeschooling mama of three—Baltimore-bred and fueled by cinnamon tea, bold coffee, and Christ. I’m an avid em-dash user, bibliophile, and lifelong learner with a creative heart and an AuDHD brain.
I love motherhood. I love homeschooling. I love all things purple. I love football. I love music, especially the band Mint Condition! (Mintheads Unite!!)
For years, I’ve supported mothers through the everyday realities of motherhood and homeschooling—offering encouragement, practical tools, and thoughtful guidance. Over time, my work has evolved—not because I outgrew it, but because I began listening more closely to what I needed as a woman and a mother.
This season of my life is about intention, grace, and sustainability. I’m learning to honor my energy, simplify where I can, and build rhythms that work with my brain instead of against it. I share that journey openly, in real time, with the hope that it helps other moms feel less alone and encourages them to explore what connection and sustainability can look like for them.
The Mama Connect is a space for reconnection.
Reconnection to who God created you to be—beyond expectations, pressure, and survival mode.
Reconnection to your children with grace instead of overwhelm.
Reconnection to rhythms that honor how your brain works and how your life unfolds.
This space is for any mama seeking clarity, community, and a gentler way of moving through motherhood and homeschooling—and for the neurodivergent mama who longs to feel seen, understood, and supported.
Here, I share practical homeschooling support alongside reflections on motherhood, faith, and intentional living. I believe in thoughtful rhythms, sustainable structure, and giving ourselves permission to choose what fits—even when it looks different than we imagined.
Alongside my personal journey, my work is rooted in years of professional experience and advocacy. I’m a Certified Babywearing Consultant, Doula, Writer, Editor, Educator, and Homeschool Coach. I’m also a postpartum preeclampsia survivor who works closely with the Preeclampsia Foundation and MoMMA’s Voices to help improve outcomes for perinatal hypertensive disorders, with a particular focus on Black maternal health and urban maternity care deserts. I currently serve on the Preeclampsia Foundation’s Patient Advisory Council and Take 10 Campaign Focus Group.
The Mama Connect isn’t about doing more or striving harder.
It’s about alignment—choosing to live as your true, authentic self with grace, intention, and compassion for yourself.
If that resonates, I invite you to explore the blog. Grab your warm cuppa whatever (or something cold, no judgment here!) and stay awhile.
What does “connection” mean to you right now?
Coming back to myself with honesty and grace, and showing up as I am—not who I or anyone else thinks I should be.
What made you choose homeschooling?
I wanted a learning experience that honors my children as individuals and leaves room for curiosity, flexibility, and relationship, while also cultivating lifelong learning and creating memorable moments together.
What’s a daily rhythm you protect?
Whenever possible, slow, quiet mornings with Jesus, coffee, and my traveler’s notebook. Even a few minutes of stillness makes a difference.
What’s your go-to drink when you need a reset?
Warm cinnamon tea for comfort, or bold coffee with a splash of caramel macchiato or brown sugar oat milk creamer for fuel.
What has your late AuDHD diagnosis meant for you?
My diagnosis has brought so much clarity and affirmation to my life. I’m still processing!
What helps you reset or prevent burnout in public?
Noise cancellation headphones or ear plugs, noise filtering devices, sunglasses, fidgets.
What’s your favorite Mint Condition song?
That’s a hard one, so I’ll choose two: “DeCuervo’s Revenge” and “U Send Me Swingin’.”
What’s your favorite thing right now?
My coffee-scented lava pen, or really anything coffee-scented.
